Hey Product Fam, First off, a massive shoutout to everyone (especially Claire Gallant Colin Li Florence) involved in planning, organizing, and running events this past year—your hard work and dedication have been incredible! 🙌 The energy throughout 2024 has been electric, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Thank you for making this community such a vibrant space! Now for 2025: I’m excited to share that I’ll be stepping into the role of leading the events committee. Why me as your events committee lead? I’m passionate about bringing people (and their creative energies) together. Whether it’s coordinating teams, nailing logistics, or solving last-minute mic issues (it’s always the mic, isn’t it? 🤦‍♀️), I thrive on creating impactful, memorable experiences. In the past, I had the pleasure of managing our mentorship program, and my favourite part was the kick-off events—moderating product conversations and seeing connections spark was such a joy! What’s the plan for 2025? (we're just about starting our planning) Events is a team sport, and together we’ll create events that inspire, educate, and connect. From panels with industry leaders to hands-on workshops, virtual deep dives, or casual in-person meetups (yes, karaoke nights and board games totally count) the goal is to build an even stronger, more connected community. But to make it truly amazing, I need your input! Got ideas for topics, formats, or speakers? Want to see more of something specific? Let me know! Even better, if you’re keen to help shape the future of ProductBC events, join the events committee—DM me, and let’s chat. Here is to an incredible end to 2024 and unforgettable 2025!!

Thanks for taking this on! One thing that I think would be neat to try out is a hybrid event where there is an in-person presentation with networking but it is also webcast and recorded for people who can't be there in person.

I agree with Steve. Many times it is too complicated to attend an event in person, but having a hybrid option is great
