Navigating EdTech Product Challenges: Building for Learners, Impact, and AI on April 20 in Vancouver

Is your EdTech product building for the right person? Is your user the learner? The instructor? The org signing the contract? And does "success" mean a completed course โ€” or an actual skill gained? On April 20, ProductBC and PM Hive are bringing together three EdTech product leaders to dig into the questions most product teams avoid: โ†’ Who really owns learning outcomes? โ†’ Should products optimize for learning convenience or learning impact? โ†’ How do you separate a product problem from a content problem from a pedagogy problem? โ†’ And what does AI actually change โ€” and what does it not? Our Panelists: ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Marco Ciffo โ€” Group Product Manager, Thinkific ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Randy Epp โ€” VP of Product, Musora Media ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Nilakshi Kundu โ€” Product Manager, Pathwise Solutions Our Moderator: ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Kasey Fu โ€” AI Product Manager, Disco AI This isn't a panel about roadmaps or feature prioritization. It's about what it actually takes to build for learners โ€” and why that's harder than it looks. Networking opportunities before and after the panel discussion. ๐Ÿ“… April 20 | 5:30โ€“8:30 PM ๐Ÿ“ C180, UBC Robson Square โ€” Downtown Vancouver ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Grab your spot: Eventbrite Link $10 for Members $15 for Non-Members Whether your product curious ๐Ÿ‘€, networking with product professionals or want to learn more! Traditionally UIs or high fidelity mockups were used to facilitate communication between designer + client before committing engineering resources to a design. AI Prototyping has significantly reduced the amount of time and technical barriers to get a working prototype to a client. I wouldn't completely avoid UI visualization tool all together as it is still a useful tool to help clarify details of specific flows and states.
