This is more of a fishing expedition than a job description, but it’s a bona-fide opportunity for the right person…
I am currently the lone product manager at a med tech startup based in Surrey, mlHealth360.com, with ~20 FTE. The company is building AI models for automating the analysis of radiology images: acute finding detection, critical results triage and reporting automation. We have one recently FDA cleared product and 2 in the pipeline.
The reason this is a fishing expedition is because I am strongly biased towards someone with the specific domain experience and willing to tailor the role for the right person. (i.e. if you have previous experience with AI in medical imaging, that gets you to the front of the line). Here are some ways you could fit in:
- 1.
You’re a product marketing focused PM - I have an AI model recently approved by the FDA, I could use someone to fine tune and execute the GTM plan
- 2.
At the other end of the pipe, I have new product initiatives that need more concrete definition(wrt product-market fit), PRDs to be written and AI engineering geniuses to be kept on track (i.e. a product owner type role)
- 3.
I need more pilot sites and leaders to run them - not necessarily a PM job, but could fall in the scope of a role - at a startup, expect to wear several different hats.
You should check at least a few of these boxes:
Knowledge of RIS/PACS/reporting workflows and pain points
Understanding of medical system interoperability standards: FHIR, HL7, IHE, DICOM
A personal network of radiology SMEs
Experience shepherding a product through FDA or Health Canada approval
Experience setting up and operating within a medical grade quality system (FDA QSR, ISO 13485, MDSAP). You don't need to be a quality or regulatory guru, but know enough to know what needs to be done, what questions to ask and work effectively with our expert consultants.
And, of course, this is a start-up, so you thrive on adrenaline, uncertainty and every day being a new adventure. Also looking for someone that could contribute to leveling up our PM and dev processes, so intermediate/senior level is ideal. Someone who can hit the ground running.
Drop me a DM here if you're interested. I don't need your resume (yet), please provide a link to you LinkedIn and if you want to introduce yourself, keep it short. I'm at RSNA next week, so probably won't respond until the week of Dec 8 at the earliest, or after I've caught up after being OOO for a week.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
PS Always looking for talented ml engineers, data scientists and application engineers as well, I'll pass your resume to our engineering team.
