Semi-affiliated Director of Product @ Shack Shine 🌐 Vancouver, hybrid 💰~$170k base + bonus I just got off the phone with the hiring manager for this role (and I also know a fair bit about it via my backchannels) and this is a really interesting opportunity for an experienced Sr. PM/GPM who is ready to do some 0.5-1 work on a well funded B2B2C product. The title is Director but it's a Lead PM role (1 direct report) and you'll be working with a Toronto based dev team of 6 on a digital transformation product with plans to expand after the first 12-18 months. Shack Shine is 25 people large and is part of the O2E business (1-800-GOT-JUNK) - this role would be part of the leadership team. Think of this as PM #1 at a series A company. If you're a high agency, high ownership, run through walls type of PM who wants to stretch yourself vertically doing both IC work and leadership work (maybe you're feeling like just a number at work or you're feeling constrained?) then I'd encourage you to take a closer look. https://www.getjobber.com/about/careers/#open-positions I just got off a call with the Talent team at Jobber and they're trying to fill about 40 roles in the Product/Eng/Design departments by end of year including 6 PM roles - there will also be a lot more roles opening up early next year. They're growing very fast right now (>35% YoY at least) and have passed a thousand employees. Ideal for folks who are 0-1 types, can handle a lot of change, and have varying degrees of "been there, done that". Their PM job levels aren't entirely accurate on their job site - a PM2 is closer to a Sr and their Sr is more like a Staff (it's levelled equivalent to a Staff Eng).

I browsed this company's postings and not all roles have a desk and not all roles get (formal) hands-on training so the successful applicant for this role should feel pretty good about getting ahead.
